Christian Bolduc has practised in the field of intellectual property for over 15 years with a focus on trade-mark law. His experience covers all stages of the trade-mark life cycle and consists primarily of procurement, management and strategic counselling. He routinely prepares and prosecutes trade-mark applications and prepares opinions on availability, registrability, validity and infringement. He is also highly skilled in assisting with trade-mark portfolio management, including selecting trade-marks with particular value, implementing national and international filing and enforcement strategies in accordance with clients' commercial objectives, and setting up guidelines for properly promoting, advertising and using trade-marks both in-house and externally. This in-depth knowledge and experience ultimately allows the clients that Mr. Bolduc works with to increase the value of their trade-mark portfolios in Canada and abroad.

Mr. Bolduc also advises clients on commercial issues and transactions involving trade-marks, including the negotiation and drafting of license agreements, international co-existence agreements, IP asset audits, and the preparation and implementation of due diligence investigations. He also regularly handles complex trade-mark opposition proceedings and appeals from Registrar decisions and assists in litigation strategy and execution.

Mr. Bolduc works with clients ranging in size from local start-ups to multinational corporations. A long-spanning career, his knowledge of the law in Canada, the U.S. and abroad, and an approach driven by clients' business objectives are the traits that make Mr. Bolduc a strong asset for our clients.
