Gunars Gaikis has specialized in pharmaceutical and biological patent litigation and strategic advising for over 20 years. He has extensive experience in procurement, litigation and resolution of disputes relating to pharmaceutical and biotechnology patents and has appeared as lead counsel in numerous intellectual property cases before the Ontario, Federal and Supreme courts.

Mr. Gaikis primarily acts on behalf of patentees in the innovative pharmaceutical industry. As a licensed pharmacist and having completed a residency program in clinical pharmacy, Mr. Gaikis is very familiar with medical and pharmaceutical matters, including the relevant regulatory issues. This background coupled with his in-depth expertise in complex pharmaceutical and biotechnology patent litigation make Mr. Gaikis an invaluable asset to clients operating in these fields.
