Philip Lapin has conducted a generalized intellectual property practice for over 15 years. He maintains a particular emphasis on obtaining trade-mark registrations, pursuing trade-mark oppositions, prosecuting patent applications for inventions in the mechanical and software fields, and providing opinions relating to these areas.
When qualifying to become a Canadian patent agent, Mr. Lapin was awarded the Marie F. Morency prize for obtaining the highest mark in Canada on the patent drafting examination.
Mr. Lapin is an editor of Canadian ReMARKS, the firms' trade-mark and marketing law newsletter. He is also the chair of the firms' Trade-mark Practice Group and chair of the firms' Trade-mark Operations Group.
